Rapidly Progressing Neurological Deficits

A 58-year-old female with a history of hypertension presented with rapidly progressing weakness in her lower extremities, ascending over 48 hours. Examination reveals areflexia and sensory loss. CSF analysis shows albuminocytologic dissociation. The clinical picture is highly suggestive of Guillain-Barré syndrome.
